Contract Works is designed for builders and tradesmen and provides cover for any work in progress on a building site that’s damaged by an insured event, such as fire, flood, storm, vandalism and theft.
Contract Works Insurance, sometimes referred to as Builders All Risk or Contractors All Risk Insurance, covers you for any work that’s damaged before you complete a project. Contract Works Insurance is more often than not a condition of many building and trade contracts because it is required by the bank or building society who are providing the funding for the project. Without this insurance you could potentially be liable for significant losses.
- What’s typically covered?
- The work in progress
- Any building materials used in the contract
- Your plant, machinery, tools and equipment
- Temporary buildings
